|As a membership organization governed by a Board of Directors, all members should feel free to contact a director to discuss any issue about which she is concerned. We do, however, request that our members respect the fact that these Directors are volunteers who donate their time for the benefit of women's golf in Arizona. A full time staff is employed to manage the details of your membership in the AWGA. In order to best serve you, please refer your questions and requests first to a staff member.
As Executive Director, Mary oversees the staff and all activities of the Association. In addition to managing the staff, her ultimate responsibility is to assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling the Association's mission. Her detailed knowledge about every aspect of the game of golf along with her enthusiasm for promoting women's golf keep the organization on track and in the forefront of women's golf associations nationwide. Under her direction, the AWGA has become Arizona's Leader in Women's Golf.
Director of Administration
Susan takes care of the back office details that enable the rest of the staff to focus on programs. Her primary responsibilities include billing and accounts receivable, purchasing, documentation of policy and procedural changes. She also assists with all seminar and event coordination and facilitation, and maintains the Association's annual calendar. When you have a question about your membership dues, rebates, or would like an event to be posted on the calendar, Susan is the one to call.
As administrative assistant, Vivian works to make sure that all of the staff members get the support they need to administer AWGA programs. Vivian's responsibilities also include accounts payable, accounts receivable, database maintenance, and donor acknowledgements.
Info & Outreach Director
As the Information & Outreach Director, Anj is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the association's outreach, marketing, and communications strategies. This includes several member benefits like the AWGA Website, the NewsLinks Newsletter, the AWGA Club Directory and Tournament Calendar. Anj will also be working with members and clubs directly in support of the AWGA Rep Program, the GEM Program, as well as several other public relations events and activities, and driving strategic plan initiatives including club growth and development.
Director of USGA Programs
Erin is in charge of USGA Programs, which include Course Rating, Handicapping, and Rules of Golf Administration. USGA Programs enable courses to maintain a current Course Rating to allow women to post their scores for Handicap purposes; provides software and hardware to member clubs for utilization of the GHIN software; educates and license the Associations Club Compliance program, and educates Handicap Chairs and club members on the USGA Handicap System; train and provide Rules Officials not only for tournaments and Championships presented by the AWGA, but also for various college and junior events, including the Arizona Silver Belle Championship, high school junior golf programs, and the Junior Golf Association of Arizona Girls State Championship. Erin plans and conducts Rules of Golf education seminars and working with the Rules Committee, she makes sure our members understand how to play the game according to the USGA Rule of Golf. Erin is a former P.J. Boatwright, Jr. intern.
Le Ann KH Finger
Player Programs Director
As the Director of Player Programs, Le Ann manages the tournament operations for the association golf tournaments and championships. Key initiatives Le Ann manages includes the AWGA Build A Team program, the Golf 101 instruction program, and AWGA Just 4 Fun playing opportunities for members. Le Ann is a PGA Certified Professional in Player Development in addition to being one of only 210 women nationwide who are both a PGA of America and an LPGA Class A Professional. In 2014, she earned the PGA Player Development Award from the Southeast Chapter South Florida PGA Section for extraordinary contributions and achievements in the area of player development. She currently serves on the GOLF 20/20 Women's Task Force, the LPGA National Membership Growth committee, The First Tee National Growing Girls Golf committee, and previously served on The PGA of America National Membership Committee.
Business Resources and Technology Manager
As the AWGA's Business Resources and Technology Specialist, Robyn has a myriad of job functions. She helps run the AWGA's Volunteer Development and Fundraising Programs, contributes articles for the AWGA Newslinks and other industry publications, helps develop and improve procedures, and manages both the Document Control and History Committees. She also assists staff with computer-related and other technical issues, coordinates changes to the back-end of the company website, helps ensure the AWGA's server is properly maintained, and is the company liaison to outside tech support.
