The AWGA's adult programs include beginner lessons and fun, non-competitive golf events.
This is a program designed to introduce new women golfers to the game and keep them in the game.
Key relationships are established between the women who play regularly at a specific golf course and the LPGA or PGA Professional at that same course.
Through this relationship, the golf teaching professional and the experienced women golfers (Ambassadors) work together to create an environment where women with little or no experience can come out and learn everything from how the game is played, to swing and playing basics, to establishing relationships within the golf community that will help them feel comfortable navigating the golf course on their own. From 2006 to date, approximately 1,400 new and beginning women golfers have completed the program.
Just 4 Fun Days
Just 4 Fun Days are events hosted by the AWGA to get women out on the course to play golf just for the fun of it! It's a great way for our members and their guests, at all skill levels, to participate in AWGA golf events to meet other golfers, socialize and have fun. For some players, this is a stepping stone to other golf opportunities.
Just 4 Fun Days occur throughout the year at different courses around the state.
